ASHE Pittsburgh “Adopt-A-Highway” Program: 2019 Spring Outing

Loading Events

The Adopt-A-Highway concept began with an effort in the 1980s to rally volunteers to keep our highway’s clear of trash.  It has since grown into a charitable act of volunteering across the Country with Adopt-A Highway programs now present in every state.

The ASHE Pittsburgh Section receives name recognition for our efforts, in keeping this portion of the highway clean, in the form of very own “Adopt A Highway” sign. In addition to receiving PennDOT’s gratitude for our efforts, the Program is sending the surrounding community our message of being a good citizen.

Please come volunteer with us on April 20th at Campbell’s Run Road Interchange so we can keep this important highway sponsorship afloat.  The time required is generally about 1 to 2 hours of your time.
